 Wendy Hodgson

I am a local girl having been brought up in Waterlooville and attending Portsmouth High School before going to Bristol University to do a degree in Economics and Accounting. I returned to Portsmouth to train with Grant Thornton and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981. I subsequently left Grant Thornton to obtain general practice experience with David Bailey and I enjoyed it so much I stayed and became a Partner in 1984

I still look forward to coming into work every day and thrive on the challenges that are constantly put my way both by clients and the government. I find operating our own business helps me to understand my clients’ worries and concerns and to empathise with all the problems that arise on a day to day basis

 Martin I Pierce

I grew up around the Portsmouth area and have worked at David Bailey’s since leaving college in 1978 having then on to complete my professional training and qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant. I became a partner in the firm in 1991 after having obtained my practising certificate and becoming a fellow of my Association in 1993

I believe that quality of service, accessibility to clients and continuity of staff contact with clients are the key areas to a successful partnership between our firm and valued clients

Outside of the practice I am a Council member of the Portsmouth Football Association and the members' Treasurer at Cams Hall Estate Golf Club.
